Hello! My name is Joseph Boatfield and I am a passionate Art Educator in the DFW area. I have taught pre-k, elementary and middle school art. I am lucky to teach elementary school art in Plano. In 2017 I received my degree from the University of North Texas and became a certified art educator. Before that, I was part of the education outreach (formally "Go Van Gogh") for the Dallas Museum of Art and I taught for Kinderplatz School of Fine Arts in Fort Worth. When I post or journal the activities of my classroom, I get so excited because to share with other teachers and receive responses makes me feel like I belong to a team! More importantly, I learn SO MUCH from others on here. I swear- messaging or connecting with another passionate teacher (sometimes states away) is the best professional development. I am excited to share, connect, and learn with you. As I start my second year at Christie Elementary, I feel lucky to do what I love each day, and blessed that I have found a community of teachers that I will always find support in.
